Under his leadership, arrivals from India to Australia have more than tripled in to reach 450,000 and he has been instrumental in strengthening the people to people links between the two countries.

Ushama Patel

Ushama Patel is currently working with Tourism Australia as an Aussie Specialist Program Coordinator for the India market. As an ASP coordinator she works closely with key trade partners to enhance knowledge about the destination. Through training programs, workshops and events she also educates the travel trade about existing and new products, regions and experiences. She has been a part of the travel industry for more than 11 years and worked across various travel organisations and OTA platforms in the role of operations, client servicing and business development.
